1Overview

Design vs Constructed mode changes the filter grouping and symbol colours from asset class to recognised ADAC status. It is a visual review mode; it does not infer construction state from geometry alone.

Use this guide when

Checking whether a submission clearly distinguishes design, existing and constructed records.

2Before you begin

  • Load an XML whose assets contain meaningful status values.
  • Know the receiver's accepted status vocabulary.

3Status interpretation

The mode visualises source status values and keeps unspecified data explicit.

Feature or choiceCurrent behaviour
Status sourceReads recognised ADAC status fields from parsed component information. The map reflects submitted data rather than a visual guess.
Unspecified valuesAssets without a recognised value remain distinguishable as an unspecified group.Missing status is visible instead of silently assigned.
Mode transitionFilters and graphic colours refresh when the map mode changes.Free View class styling is not confused with status styling.

4Compare delivery status

Switch mode, isolate status groups and inspect only the exceptions.

infrADAC MAP

Status review is part of the standard map tool set.

6Troubleshooting

Everything appears as Unspecified

Inspect the source Status fields in List View. Confirm the XML uses values and paths recognised by the current ADAC schema.

Colours do not match Free View

That is expected. Design vs Constructed uses status colours; switch back to Free View for class colours.
