1Overview
Design vs Constructed mode changes the filter grouping and symbol colours from asset class to recognised ADAC status. It is a visual review mode; it does not infer construction state from geometry alone.

2Before you begin
- Load an XML whose assets contain meaningful status values.
- Know the receiver's accepted status vocabulary.
3Status interpretation
The mode visualises source status values and keeps unspecified data explicit.

4Compare delivery status
Switch mode, isolate status groups and inspect only the exceptions.
Switch review mode
Use Tools to select Design vs Constructed.
- Open Tools.
- Choose Design vs Constructed.
- Wait for filters and map symbols to refresh.
Isolate a status
Use the status groups in the side menu.
- Expand the active file's status filters.
- Show one status at a time or compare a controlled set.
- Use the legend to confirm the current colour meaning.
Investigate exceptions
Trace unexpected or unspecified values to the source asset.
- Select the asset or open List View.
- Review its Status field and project context.
- Use Map Pro audit/edit or return the issue to the authoring system as appropriate.
5Product differences
The task is shared where possible, but selection, interface integration and model operations follow the host shown below.
Status review is part of the standard map tool set.
Map Pro can route audit issues to Edit or Clean when a status value requires an exported correction.
6Troubleshooting
Everything appears as Unspecified
Inspect the source Status fields in List View. Confirm the XML uses values and paths recognised by the current ADAC schema.
Colours do not match Free View
That is expected. Design vs Constructed uses status colours; switch back to Free View for class colours.
