1Overview
infrADAC Map is a browser-based ADAC XML viewer. It parses uploaded files in the current session, draws supported asset geometry on the map and exposes project, file, coordinate-system and asset information through the side menu.
Opening infrADAC Map for the first time or beginning a new file review.
2Before you begin
- Use a current desktop browser with JavaScript enabled.
- Have one or more ADAC XML files available.
- Keep sensitive project data within your organisation's approved handling process.
3Load the first project
Upload, frame and inspect in that order so coordinate or parsing problems are visible immediately.
Open the viewer
Start in the full map workspace.
- Open infrADAC Map.
- Dismiss the welcome panel after reviewing the current service status.
- Use the menu to confirm the active Free View mode.
Upload ADAC XML
Files are parsed before geometry is displayed.
- Select the Upload button.
- Choose one or more
.xmlfiles. - Wait for each file tab and side-menu entry to appear.
Frame and inspect
Confirm the project landed in the expected location.
- Use the file tab or map extent control to frame the uploaded assets.
- Expand Project and Coordinate System in the side menu.
- Select one asset and check its identity and attributes.
4Product differences
The task is shared where possible, but selection, interface integration and model operations follow the host shown below.
Free View includes XML upload, map display, project inspection and the standard resource tools.
Map Pro uses the same viewer and adds authenticated XML audit, editing, clean, compare and merge/split tools.
5What the viewer loads
The browser separates source files, map graphics and side-menu metadata while keeping them linked.
| Feature or choice | Current behaviour |
|---|---|
| Multiple files | The file manager keeps each uploaded XML as a separate in-memory item and map tab.Related submissions can be compared without merging their source data. |
| Map framing | Geometry is projected and the view is fitted to usable uploaded extents.A distant or empty view usually indicates invalid geometry or coordinate-system information. |
| Session storage | Uploaded working data is held by the active browser session unless a feature explicitly sends a request to an API service.Closing or refreshing can clear unsaved working state. |
6Troubleshooting
The XML uploads but no assets appear
Check the file contains supported ADAC geometry and valid coordinates. Open List View to confirm whether assets were parsed, then inspect coordinate-system and drawing-extents values.
The map opens in the wrong location
Verify the XML horizontal coordinate system and datum. Do not treat a basemap position as authoritative until the source coordinate metadata is correct.
A file is rejected
Confirm it is XML, not a ZIP or renamed document, and that it contains a readable ADAC project structure.
