1Overview

Selecting a map graphic opens the asset-details workflow. List View presents uploaded XML as grouped project and asset attributes and provides a non-spatial route to the same review data.

Use this guide when

Checking an ADACId, status, component attributes or a file whose geometry is difficult to select.

2Inspect one asset

Use spatial selection for location and List View for complete structured context.

Step 1
01

Inspect from the map

Select the intended graphic.

  1. Zoom until the asset can be selected reliably.
  2. Choose the map graphic.
  3. Review asset type, ADACId, component information and geometry context in the details panel.

3Linked inspection views

Map graphics and lists are alternate views of the same parsed file records.

Feature or choiceCurrent behaviour
Asset identityThe viewer resolves display graphics back to the parsed asset record and its ADAC identifiers.Spatial and tabular review refer to the same uploaded object.
List groupingSeparates project-level information from grouped asset attributes.Users can inspect files that contain valid data but problematic geometry.
Read-only reviewStandard Map inspection does not write changes to the uploaded source file.Review remains non-destructive unless a Map Pro editing/export action is used.

4Before you begin

  • Load the XML and make the relevant class visible.
  • Use a filter or List View when overlapping assets make map selection ambiguous.

5Product differences

The task is shared where possible, but selection, interface integration and model operations follow the host shown below.

Map popups, details and List View are available for uploaded files.

6Troubleshooting

Selecting the map opens the wrong asset

Hide overlapping classes or use List View to identify the asset. Zoom in and clear any existing selection before trying again.

An attribute appears in XML but not the details panel

Use List View for the complete parsed hierarchy. The concise details panel may intentionally show only recognised fields.
