1Overview
Modify infrADAC installation transfers the active installation to another supported host profile, creates an additional copy without changing the active Windows registration or recalls the local licence activation. It is launched from the registered Windows app entry and uses the current updater.
Transfer changes the active host target and Windows registration. Copy Install duplicates the files and leaves the current registered installation unchanged.
2Open Modify
- Save work and close active CAD sessions.
- Open Windows Settings.
- Go to Apps > Installed apps.
- Locate infrADAC, open its app actions and select Modify.
- Wait for Modify infrADAC installation to open.
3Transfer or copy the installation
Review the current installation
Confirm the source before selecting a new host target.
- Check Current install.
- Check Current host target.
- If either value is unexpected, close Modify and confirm which Windows app entry was opened.
When Modify starts from the installed Update folder, it treats the parent infrADAC folder as the source.
Choose the target product
Select the CAD host that will use the destination.
- Select AutoCAD, BricsCAD or 12d Model.
- The selected product controls executable validation and target-path resolution.
- Use the matching product even when browsing directly to an existing local CAD profile.
Browse for the host or profile
Select an installation folder or accepted local profile folder.
- Select Browse.
- Choose the product installation folder, or an accepted AutoCAD or BricsCAD local profile folder.
- Wait for Resolved target.
- If validation fails, select the folder containing the expected host executable.
Choose Transfer or Copy Install
Select the outcome you need.
Transfer
Copies the installation to the resolved destination, configures the destination startup or 12d payload and updates the current user's Windows app entry to the new target.
Copy Install
Copies the files but leaves the current Windows registration and active ACAD/BCAD startup loader unchanged. A DCAD copy still deploys its 12d payload to the selected 12d paths.
It rebinds the active registration to the destination. Review and remove a leftover source folder only after confirming the new target works.
Wait for completion
Do not close Modify while files are being copied.
- The application tree is copied to the destination.
- Transfer installs the ACAD or BCAD document startup loader, or applies the DCAD toolbar and macro payload.
- Transfer repairs the Windows Add or Remove Programs entry.
- The progress bar reaches 100% and the window displays Transfer complete or Copy complete.
Verify the destination
Open the selected host and confirm normal startup.
- Close Modify.
- Open the selected CAD host or 12d version.
- Confirm the infrADAC ribbon or toolbar appears.
- Run
ADACLicenceand one normal command. - For a copied ACAD or BCAD installation, configure the copy deliberately before expecting it to become the active startup target.
The selected host can load infrADAC and the active registration points where expected.
4Accepted target folders
| Product | Accepted selection | Resolved target | Validation |
|---|---|---|---|
| infrADAC ACAD | AutoCAD install folder, local R* profile folder or local enu folder. | The matching local AutoCAD enu profile where available. | acad.exe, AutoCAD 2025 or newer. |
| infrADAC BCAD | BricsCAD install folder, local V*x64 profile or locale folder. | The matching local BricsCAD locale profile. | bricscad.exe, BricsCAD 2026 or newer. |
| infrADAC DCAD | 12d install root or its nt.x64 folder. | The parent 12d install root. | Recognised 12d executable in the selected folder or nt.x64. |
The infrADAC application root remains under Program Files. Modify also merges the owned toolbar and macro payload into the selected 12d install and derived user-path roots while preserving unrelated toolbar entries.
5Transfer compared with Copy Install
| Behaviour | Transfer | Copy Install |
|---|---|---|
| Copies the application tree | Yes | Yes |
| Changes the registered current install | Yes | No |
| Updates ACAD/BCAD startup loader | Yes | No |
| Applies DCAD toolbar payload | Yes | Yes |
| Removes the source folder | No guaranteed source deletion | No |
6Uninstall Licence
This action removes the active local licence from the computer and asks the server to recall the activation. It does not uninstall infrADAC application files.
- Select Uninstall Licence.
- Read the warning and select OK.
- Wait for the server response.
- Keep the displayed result for support if recall is unsuccessful.
The confirmation states that a licence cannot be recalled again within seven days unless support completes it. Use the action only when the activation genuinely needs to move or be released.
7Troubleshooting
No installation is detected in the selected folder
Select the folder containing the expected CAD executable or an accepted local profile folder. For 12d, select the install root or nt.x64.
The target host version is unsupported
Use AutoCAD 2025 or newer or BricsCAD 2026 or newer. The host version must be detectable from its folder or executable metadata.
The transfer or copy fails
Close all CAD hosts, confirm both source and destination are writable and retry. The destination cannot be inside the current infrADAC application folder.
The ribbon or toolbar is still missing
For ACAD or BCAD, run ADACCUIX after confirming the correct local profile was selected. For DCAD, restart the 12d project after toolbar changes and verify the correct 12d version folder was used.
