1Overview
Project Details stores the project file location, name and description and controls which profile or Base Schema is loaded. Changing a profile updates both Profile.CurrentProfile and Profile.CurrentStandard.
The project name or location changes, a different receiver profile is required, or a drawing moved from another computer.
2Before you begin
- Save the drawing or 12d project.
- Confirm the intended receiver profile is installed in the profile folder.
- Understand that changing profiles changes current definitions and can affect audit results.
3What Project Details controls
These values affect files, definitions and downstream validation.
| Feature or choice | Current behaviour |
|---|---|
| Profile list | Normal profiles are listed before protected DefaultProfile_* entries.Users can distinguish receiver profiles from shipped defaults. |
| Base Schema | Disables the profile selector and enables direct standard selection.A project can work without a receiver-specific profile. |
| Project folder | The selected directory is created when possible and saved as project/export location.Imports, exports and supporting files have a stable project context. |
| Project rename | Saved Name/Description values are merged and supporting-file project folders are renamed where possible.Attached file paths remain aligned with the project identity. |
4Change project details safely
Treat profile selection as a schema change, not a cosmetic project setting.
Open Project Details
Load values already stored with the project.
- Run
ADACProject. - If the drawing came from another computer and the old path is unavailable, choose a local project location.
- Review the current project name and description.
Choose profile or Base Schema
Use one schema source at a time.
- Select a normal or default receiver profile from the grouped list, or enable Base Schema.
- For Base Schema, select the required ADAC standard.
- Confirm the profile-change warning before loading a different profile.
Set location and identity
The project folder also becomes the normal import/export folder.
- Choose the project file/export location.
- Enter a required project name and optional description.
- Select Save.
Save the project details
Apply the selected profile and project identity.
- Select Save.
- Confirm any profile-change warning.
- Wait for the project details form to close before opening another project command.
5Product differences
The task is shared where possible, but selection, interface integration and model operations follow the host shown below.
The selected path is a Windows folder and project data is stored in the AutoCAD drawing.
The same form and storage model is used in BricsCAD, with the active BCAD profile controlling startup.
Project Details uses the shared desktop form and a Windows-accessible project folder. The selected profile, standard, name and description are synchronized with the active 12d project state.
6Troubleshooting
Profile info.json is missing
Reimport or update the profile. infrADAC refuses the change when the extracted profile has no valid info.json or ProfileStandard.
The project folder cannot be created
Choose a writable local or network location. The form can fall back to the default Projects folder or My Documents, but the selected path should be fixed before export.
Audit results changed after switching profiles
This is expected when required attributes, geometry or supplementary definitions differ. Review Project Attributes and the Asset Library, then correct or remap affected assets.
