Work in your MAGNET project

infrADAC MCAD connects the shared infrADAC desktop tools to MAGNET Office and Topcon Office. Use the infrADAC ribbon for project data, receiver profiles, asset creation, audit and ADAC delivery.

The installed companion handles infrADAC forms and keeps its project workspace alongside the design. MAGNET remains responsible for native project geometry.

Install and connect

  1. Close MAGNET Office or Topcon Office before running the current infrADAC installer.
  2. Choose infrADAC MCAD and select the correct host installation. Activate your licence and choose the receiver profiles required for your work.
  3. Start the host and open a project. Choose an action from the infrADAC tab to start the resident MCAD companion.
  4. Confirm the active project before generating assets or writing changes.
Use the product installer

MCAD uses its own host connection and ribbon integration. Follow the MCAD installation path when setting up MAGNET or Topcon Office.

Prepare the project and receiver

Complete the project attributes and select the receiver profile before assigning assets. Enter the required coordinate reference system and shared defaults for the selected ADAC schema.

MCAD can open a native project through the running MAGNET connection. MAXML .mxl and .mxlzip exchanges provide another supported project interchange path. Keep the .infradac.json workspace sidecar with the project when transferring files. A saved .mxlzip can carry the embedded infrADAC workspace.

Create and review assets

Choose the compatible point, line or area geometry in the project and use the infrADAC asset tools to assign the selected asset definition. Review attributes and any mapping results before applying changes.

Use the shared task guides for generation, editing, supporting files and land or surface workflows. Native selection and project updates run through the MCAD host connection.

Audit and export

Run the project audit using the selected receiver profile. Resolve acceptance findings before exporting the ADAC XML. Review the generated PDF report and the supporting deliverables beside the XML.

The MCAD audit uses the shared desktop report renderer. Report findings identify the relevant project or asset values so you can return to the design and correct them.

If the host does not connect

  • Check that the supported MAGNET or Topcon Office installation is running with a project open.
  • Confirm that infrADAC was installed against that host and Windows user.
  • Record the displayed connection or operation error before retrying. Confirm the active project and check whether the previous operation completed.
  • Use the current installer to repair the host integration if its ribbon is missing.
  • Include the host version, infrADAC build, failed action and diagnostic log in a support request.
