1Overview
The registered infrADAC uninstaller removes the active application tree, local licence data, the current user's Windows app entry and infrADAC .idc file association. It also attempts to recall the installation activation before deleting the local licence.
The current uninstaller deletes the contents of the active infrADAC application folder. Back up customised profiles, project files or other user-created content stored there before continuing.
2Before uninstalling
- Save and close all drawings and 12d projects.
- Close AutoCAD, BricsCAD Pro and 12d Model. The wizard detects AutoCAD and BricsCAD processes; close 12d manually.
- Connect to the internet so the uninstaller can attempt to recall the activation.
- Back up customised profiles, project data or logs you want to retain.
- Record the current host and installation path if you plan to reinstall.
To release the activation while keeping infrADAC installed, use Modify > Uninstall Licence instead of the full uninstaller.
3Run the uninstaller
Open the Windows app entry
Start the registered uninstaller.
- Open Windows Settings.
- Go to Apps > Installed apps.
- Locate infrADAC.
- Open the app actions and select Uninstall.
Review the Welcome screen
Confirm work is saved and hosts are closed.
The Welcome to infrADAC Uninstaller screen explains that the application will be removed.
- Check that CAD work is saved.
- Select Next to continue or Cancel to exit.
Confirm permanent removal
Start the destructive part of the workflow.
- Read Confirm Uninstallation.
- Confirm your backups are complete.
- Select Uninstall.
Do not rely on the confirmation screen's general statement about user-created data when you have stored custom content inside the infrADAC application root.
Close detected host applications
The uninstaller cannot remove files held by a running host.
If AutoCAD or BricsCAD is running, the wizard lists the process and displays Close applications.
- Return to the CAD host and save any remaining work.
- Close the listed application.
- Select Retry.
- Select Cancel only to stop the uninstall.
The current process check does not list 12d Model, so DCAD users must close it manually.
Wait for cleanup
Leave the wizard open while each registered component is removed.
- The uninstaller attempts to report removal and recall the activation.
- Local licence files are removed.
- The AutoCAD tagged startup block is removed when its profile path can be resolved.
- The current user's
.idcassociation and Installed apps entry are removed. - Application files are deleted and final self-cleanup is scheduled.
Finish and verify
Confirm the registered application is gone.
- At Uninstallation Complete!, select Finish.
- Confirm infrADAC no longer appears in Installed apps.
- Restart Windows before reinstalling if files or host menus still reference the old installation.
- Complete the host-specific checks below.
The active application root and current-user Windows registration have been removed.
4What is removed
| Item | Current behaviour |
|---|---|
| Local activation | Server recall is attempted first, then active local licence and validation/reminder files are removed. |
| Application files | Everything under the registered infrADAC application root is deleted, including Data, Licence, Logs, Profiles, Projects, Update and other installed subfolders. |
| Windows app entry | The current user's 32-bit and 64-bit infrADAC uninstall registration is removed. |
.idc icon association | Removed only when it points to the active infrADAC installation. |
| AutoCAD loader | The tagged infrADAC block is removed from acaddoc.lsp when the AutoCAD profile path is resolved. |
If internet access is unavailable or recall fails, local removal still continues. Contact support if the licence portal still counts the removed computer as an active installation.
5Check host integration
AutoCAD
Open AutoCAD and confirm the removed installation is not loaded. The uninstaller removes the tagged infrADAC block from the resolved acaddoc.lsp. A separately loaded CUIX ribbon may remain visible until it is unloaded or the workspace is refreshed.
BricsCAD Pro
The application root is removed, but the current uninstaller does not explicitly remove an infrADAC block from on_doc_load.lsp. If BricsCAD reports a missing infrADAC path at startup, remove only the tagged infrADAC loader block or ask support to review the file.
on_doc_load.lsp.12d Model
The application root is removed, but toolbar and macro payloads copied into shared 12d install and user paths are outside that root. The current uninstaller does not explicitly remove them. Do not delete the whole user_toolbars.4d; remove only infrADAC-owned toolbar content and files, or contact support.
6Troubleshooting
The wizard keeps asking me to close a CAD application
Check Task Manager for remaining acad.exe, bricscad.exe or BricsCAD background processes. Close them, then select Retry.
Access is denied while removing files
Close the Exit screen, then run the registered uninstaller as Administrator. This is most likely when the active application root is under a protected folder.
infrADAC still appears in Installed apps
Restart Windows and check again. If the entry remains, retain its displayed install location and contact support before manually editing the registry.
The activation still appears in use
The best-effort server recall may have failed before local files were removed. Contact support with the licence key details available through your account; do not send old licence files in public channels.
I cancelled after deletion started
Some files may already have been removed. Run the uninstaller again if the app entry remains, or reinstall infrADAC to repair the application before uninstalling cleanly.
