CoordinateSystem structure
Required

Records the particulars of the horizontal and vertical coordinate systems for the whole project.

StructureStructure
HorizontalCoordinateSystem enum
Required

Specifies the horizontal coordinate system used. e.g. MGA56. Well known projections may be referred to by name only. All spatial information in the project will be considered to be referenced to this system. If custom local plane systems or projections are used by agreement with the receiver, then any parameters should be specified in the notes.

Accepted Values
ValueDescription
MGA60 Covers the eastern parts of New Zealand, including the eastern coast of both the North and South Islands.
MGA59 Covers the central regions of New Zealand, both the North and South Islands, areas from Milford Sound in the south up through central New Zealand.
MGA58 Covers a large part of the Tasman Sea and includes the westernmost parts of New Zealand, particularly the west coast of the South Island.
MGA57 Covers the eastern Coral Sea area, and includes some offshore territories or islands.

MGA50 Covers central Western Australia, including areas such as Port Hedland and parts of the Pilbara.
MGA49 Covers the westernmost part of Australia, including the western coastline of Western Australia, such as the area around Broome.
Other Specifcy spatial conditions in Notes.
HorizontalDatum enum
Required

To Specifiy the Datum that the Horizontal Coordinate System is based on. E.g. GDA94.

Accepted Values
ValueDescription
GDA2020 Current official datum for Australia, aligned to ITRF2014.
GDA94 Previous official datum for Australia, aligned to ITRF1992.
AGD84 Older Australian datum, replaced by GDA94.
AGD66 Outdated Australian datum, replaced by AGD84 and GDA94.
WGS84 Global datum used by GPS, similar to GDA94.
Other Specifcy spatial conditions in Notes.
VerticalDatum enum
Required

To Specifiy the Datum of Height values. E.g. AHD.

Accepted Values
ValueDescription
AHD2020 Updated vertical datum, based on refined sea level data.
AHD Original vertical datum for Australia, based on 1971 sea level data.
Ellipsoidal Height Height above the ellipsoid, used in GNSS applications.
MSL Mean Sea Level - Average sea level, used globally.
